Meet Tishina

Hi! I’m Tishina Shannacappo, a registered provisional psychologist. Many of the people I work with come to Heart Berry Psychology feeling burned out or misunderstood. I feel honoured to hold space and work with those who might be navigating a late diagnosis of ADHD or Autism, exploring their giftedness, or seeking clarity on their cognitive strengths. My goal is to offer a space where you can feel welcomed and where your experiences make sense in a deeper, more meaningful way.

With years of experience conducting in-depth psychological assessments, I appreciate the complexity of exceptionalities and neurodivergence beyond just labels. My approach is to look at the whole person, offering comprehensive insights that go beyond a checklist of symptoms. Whether you are an adult questioning a possible diagnosis, a parent seeking diagnostic clarity and support for your child, or someone looking for answers, I am here to help.

As a registered provisional psychologist based in downtown Calgary, I bring both lived experience and extensive professional training to my work. My background in school and counselling psychology (M.Ed., University of Calgary, 2021; Ed.D. in progress, University of Toronto, 2026) allows me to combine research-driven insights with a deep understanding of how personal and cultural identity might shape diagnostics and neurodivergence.

If you have ever felt that standard assessments or therapy did not fully capture your experiences, you are not alone. I would love to help you explore a deeper, more personalized understanding of yourself. I have been on the other side of this too, on the couch as a client, and I know how important it is to feel heard, affirmed, and to have space to laugh along the way.
